Faculty/Staff

You must register your vehicle and order your permit online.  Permits for the 2021-2022 academic year will be available online beginning in July 2021. For information about the start of permit sales for the various permit types <CLICK HERE>. Faculty/Staff will be issued a hangtag that will be mailed to your designated address (must be a valid US Postal Address).

Faculty/Staff have the option of purchasing the following hangtags:

Payroll deduction is available for all benefits eligible Faculty/Staff. Payroll deductions will be over a 9 month period in 18 payments.

Payroll Deduction for permits costs will be PRE-TAX starting with permits purchased after July 1st, 2020.

Due to tax law changes to employer-provided qualified transportation fringe benefits in the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act passed in December 2019, parking deductions will be a pre-tax deduction beginning July 1, 2020.

What does this change mean to me?
Effective July 1, 2020, all parking permits that are payroll deducted will be a pre-tax deduction.  Due to this change, the parking permit costs will now be excluded from the income amount used to calculate Federal Income Tax, Social Security tax, and Medicare tax withholdings.

Please note that utilizing payroll deduction to pay for a parking permit allows an employee to pay for the annual parking permit in 18 payments over 9 months without having to pay the total upfront.
